Like many of our clients, Olive Interiors is a female founded, mindful island based business. After falling in love with the island on their countless holiday trips, British design duo Laura Nathenson and Kate Starkey made the decision to call Ibiza home. The pair discovered their mutual passion for ethical interior design and soon afterwards Olive Interiors was born.
As interior designers, Kate and Laura focus greatly on sustainability and personal touches, so when they approached us to design their brand identity, they knew they wanted their brand to have an earthy look and feel, with a modern typefont paired with a handwritten script. They were keen for their logo to be hand-illustrated based around the traditional Ibiceno finca and of course include some element of the typical Ibizan olive tree, which is where they took their name from.
So we got to work creating a moodboard as the foundation of their brand identity.
Collaboratively we have developed the narrative ‘Design that doesn’t cost our Earth” focusing on how Olive Interiors have positioned themselves as being an ethical and conscious design team, using sustainably sourced, natural materials throughout their designs which they consider to be the ultimate luxury.
We then started to work on their stationery; the business cards are printed on seeded, plantable paper, whilst for the postcards we selected recycled, unbleached, textured card.
We then considered their social media presence, and created simple graphics for them to use when they were ready to launch.
