Right in the heart of Ibiza is the trendy little village of Santa Gertrudis; dubbed the Notting Hill of Ibiza by Conde Naste magazine due to it’s “gentle bustle” and eclectic mix of international young families from all over Europe, this is without doubt a place to see and be seen.

Dutch owner Paul opened La Chickeria in 2019, although the original concept was born in Amsterdam back in 2013, where you’ll now find several restaurants in the Netherlands named “Vant-Spit“ – although, La Chickeria is the first of their restaurants to open outside of the Netherlands.

La Chickeria’s ethos is to serve chickens that are born and raised in an organic way. They are raised in stables, free-range with plenty of space, small scale facilities, no growth enhancers, free of antibiotics and processed traditionally. Their secret marinade took months to perfect, and consists of more than 30 different herbs and spices.

The chefs of La Chickeria are trained for weeks until they can officially carry the title “Spitmaster” and take on full responsibility of the grills, which are custom-made in the UK. The Chicken is cooked over Spanish coals, carefully selected to ensure the smoky barbecue flavour is consistent every time, as well as that mouth-watering golden crispy skin.

Social Parrot provides an ongoing overall content and marketing strategy tailored to elevating La Chickeria as a vibrant, yet relaxed family-friendly restaurant. The key aim being to increase brand awareness across social media – regularly curating content and concepts that attract both locals and tourists.
